Written in 2005 by rivensoul, "Bittersweet" is a hard rocking lament about how the soul feels to be caught in the midst of sin, confronted by God's Word through His Holy Spirit, and "cut down to size" by that two edged sword as it runs through us. It is truely a bittersweet moment to be corrected by God. It hurts and is something we would rather turn away from, but once it is complete we find ourseves with newly opened eyes and a heart that does not dispise God's working in us to create a new man.
